OUR STORY
Our mission is singular and powerful: to provide adaptive bikes to children and young adults with special needs, including conditions like Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Batten Disease, Charge Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Hydrocephalus, Autism, and more. These families face significant challenges, from the high costs of therapy sessions and specialized equipment to the struggle of building physical and mental strength, confidence, and most importantly, inclusion in everyday activities like riding bikes together.
What began in 2008 as a simple ‘Bikes for Christmas’ project quickly blossomed into a year-round commitment to changing lives. Since then, over 600 adaptive bikes have been delivered, each one making a profound difference in the lives of the children and their families. This transformation is made possible by the generosity of individual donors and corporations who have so graciously supported our mission.
We never tire of saying it: These Bikes Change Lives. With each ride, these children defy the odds, forge new paths, and set their lives in motion. But the impact doesn’t stop with the child—it extends to their families, friends, and even the donors who are touched by the powerful stories we share. It’s more than just a ride; it’s a revolution of strength, confidence, and inclusion.
