On Cinco de Mayo, Allison traveled to Pennsylvania to participate in the 2nd annual Foxwynd Impact Summit, where she also had the privilege of presenting four adaptive bikes to children in the Chester, PA area. Last October, the Foxwynd Foundation DAF generously awarded a $45,000 grant to the McLindon Family Foundation, with the goal of matching these funds to secure a truckload of adaptive trikes from Rifton Equipment. Through an inspiring collective effort, the matching funds were raised in record time, resulting in the order of 40 adaptive bikes. These life-changing bikes were then gifted to children and adults from California, Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Louisiana.

Building on the success and joy of our November 2024 event with the Foxwynd Foundation and United Way of Chester County, we knew a repeat was essential. On the morning of May 6th, Allison joined the summit, and by afternoon she was assembling adaptive bikes at the United Way, eagerly anticipating meeting the families she had connected with for months. The Foxwynd Foundation was represented by Mrs. Rene Bentley, Bobby Gilchrist, Julia Lyman, Pamela Villagra, and Gloria Galvez, alongside Christopher Saello from United Way of Chester County. Adaptive bikes were presented in person to Matias, Jaxson, Esteban, and Bryce, while others from the shipment were either delivered by Allison or shipped directly. The evening overflowed with laughter, heartfelt gratitude, and joyful tears—moments that underscored the profound impact of this initiative. Days later, Jaxson’s mother, Jill, expressed her appreciation: “I can’t thank you enough and all of the people who were involved: the Trustees, McLindon family, and the Foxwynd family. This has been such an uplifting thing, and Jax really loves the bike and this has been perfect timing, especially in this weather.”

We’re beyond grateful for the chance to keep rolling out smiles with our adaptive bike project—now reaching kids and adults with disabilities across the country. Not long ago, our goal was 52 bikes a year (one a week!). Now, thanks to truckload-sized dreams and the Foxwynd Foundation, we’re cruising toward nearly 100 bikes in a single year. The requests keep coming, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
